If you didn’t know this about me, I have the best group of friends. We have been friends since we were 5 and 6 years old. We went through grade school, high school, college, and grad school (those crazy kids, not me :P) together.
We all now live away from each other and our friendship hasn’t skipped a beat. We have a wild group chat where sometimes we just vent for 20 messages and all it takes to calm us down is that one text back! If you watch Grey’s you know this phrase – “you are my person” – and they are my people.
We have always talked about who would photograph their weddings because I want to photograph them and stand next to them at the same time. The compromise is that I “second and a half shoot” the wedding with the help of Kati’s brother in law, Ben (who rocked it)!! This means that I photograph almost every moment that I’m not in front of the camera. It’s crazy and hectic… and daring… and AMAZING! I loved getting to capture my best friend on the best day of her life… and it was magical. Sometimes that means being in glittery flats, a floor length bridesmaids dress, and having my camera in hand!
When Kati got engaged we never expected to be planning her wedding in a matter of months, but she found the perfect venue and by perfect I mean STUNNING! And it happened to have the perfect October day open! It was FATE and David and Kati jumped on the chance to have the small intimate wedding that they dreamed of! Day one of dress shopping and we found the most perfect dress for her. It was like fate was on her side through the whole thing! It all came together so great and so smoothly and the day of the wedding was just the same! <3
Wishing my girl Kati and her new husband all the love and happiness in the world! <3
